As a child, I loved puzzles. As an adult, this hasn’t changed. Except this time, I’m doing the puzzle with a glass of wine. I also love learning new things and enjoy watching Jeopardy. There you have it - research, finding solutions and creativity. These are the things I love about design.
I’ve worked professionally for over eight years and have experience with designing and developing branding and identities, websites and mobile apps, static and animated digital ad campaigns and printed pieces. I have assisted with art direction on both photo and commercial shoots and enjoy it when the designer gets to do some copywriting!
I am currently a Senior Graphic Designer at Hello Amigo, a creative communications agency that has given me an opportunity to grow, have creative freedom and gain experience in different areas of design. I’m in constant communication with my Creative Director and team members and love to bounce ideas off them. In addition to designing, I frequently get the opportunity to present concept work to both small and large clients.
A few years after the El Paso chapter of AIGA was established, I served as President of the board to help grow and bring awareness to the the local design community. I developed the chapter to stay consistent with the mission and values of the AIGA national agenda and organized events to connect designers to each other.
Besides design? Well, you already know about the puzzles. Watercoloring has become a favorite of mine, I try to improve my piano skills frequently, and have recently taken up ceramics and quickly learned how humbling it is.
