El Paso Giving Day Website Design

Role: Creative Direction and Design (Hello Amigo)
Team: Content & Copywriting - Angie Kimmel | Development - Brandon Silverstein

Overview

El Paso Giving Day is a community-wide fundraising event supporting local nonprofits. The platform needed to drive donations, provide real-time progress tracking, and accommodate a wide range of participating organizations.

Approach

I led UI design to create a conversion-driven experience using a modular design system, scalable templates, and real-time data visualizations. The responsive, accessible interface guided donors seamlessly from discovery to contribution, while giving nonprofits a flexible framework to showcase their stories.

Collaboration was essential to making the platform work as intended. After completing the design, I partnered closely with our developers to align on how interactive elements would function, such as the live-updating progress bar, the current results section with real-time donation totals, and the searchable database that allowed donors to easily find and support specific organizations. This designer–developer partnership ensured the final product was not only visually engaging but technically seamless.

  • $8,000,000 raised from 32,000+ donors over five years

  • Increased website traffic an average of 20% year over year

  • Increased donation amounts an average 15% year over year with design focused on conversions

  • Expanded awareness and participation across hundreds of local nonprofits
